Maybe his gun doesn't like cast?, my LRA9 (when it worked) certainly didn't like the last lot of cast I used,

Could very well be, if I remember correctly I got them from ITL on the one occasion he actually replied to an email or text message!.

I think its mostly as they are unsupported barrels they can blow up easily

As far as I am aware the reason for the stipulation of no cast lead bullets in Glock factory barrels (HK & Kahr for that matter too) is that it causes excess lead fouling in the Polygonal rifling used on said pistols.
