Electrician / Electrical Engineering on and off since 16 with the odd spell of other technical things.
Funnily enough I spotted this exact trend in nearly all of the shooters I know a few years ago.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

My mate owns an L96 that is reputed to be his rifle.Blu wrote:That Padre would be Captain The Reverend David Cooper and the rumour is nonsense though as you say he was a Bisley shotand captained the GB team I believe. Yeah, I can understand that... I never do voice comms, only data modes. Tend to stay away from VHF too as that is seriously like CB these days..Although not been on the air for quite some time.. still have my G5RV up though!Racalman wrote:
No, I passed the RAE at 15 and became a G8, but after a few years' designing radios for a living I dropped it as a hobby. It was becoming too much like CB anyway.

Some of my old friends would love to retire but keep getting offered too much money 'cos companies can't find anyone else with the experience.Alpha1 wrote: Interesting that some of the Guys/Galls have a similar back ground we struggle to find experienced Senior Chemical engineers.
