Electrician / Electrical Engineering on and off since 16 with the odd spell of other technical things.

Funnily enough I spotted this exact trend in nearly all of the shooters I know a few years ago.

Yeah, I can understand that... I never do voice comms, only data modes. Tend to stay away from VHF too as that is seriously like CB these days..Although not been on the air for quite some time.. still have my G5RV up though!

Hmmm can't say I ever saw the Padre sporting an L96 when I knew him but you never know.
