All handloading data posted on Full-Bore UK from 23/2/2021 must reference the published pressure tested data it was sourced from, posts without such verification will be removed.

Old skool solutions are just as effective! :goodjob:
The next job is to add some weight to my 505. I keep bumping/moving it as it's so light , I'd prefer if it weighed at least 1kg. I guess I'll add some lead weights underneath.

When Allan Edwards tuned a set of 502's for me it looked like plaster of Paris he poured into the base cavity.

That's a good idea, we also have some fine grain concrete kicking around somewhere, I might try that. Something needs to be done!

I like your work! it all makes complete sense to me, take something that works well and make it better. I followed your link at the bottom of your post and I was curious how good the boing 5 digital zoom was compared to your webcam close up, it looks comparable to me, but I like your setup more, it's permanently attached...
Out of interest do you still offer the tuning service? I would really like the 1/10th graduations on my 505, I'm sure I could make them myself, but if the service already exists... The camera and the stonecast look perfect too. Have you tried that webcam directly in to a DLNA TV/monitor? Just curious if it must be connected via windows. Taking the PC out of the equation would make it even better.
This is the 46" image I have, a bit grainy but not bad. It would probably be sharper in better light.

A few quick questions:- I seem to get inconsistent seating depth with my Hornady A-MAX .308, it can range between 2.783.5" - 2.797". A factory A-MAX round measures 2.797.5" (repeatedly checked) according to my digital calipers. Now, whilst I appreciate the maximum OAL is 2.800", are these variable length rounds safe to shoot? I don't recall seeing a minimum value for OAL, just a maximum OAL. Secondly, would the variance cause grouping inconsistencies?
The A-MAX have a plastic tip on the bullet and I have wondered if this is slightly deforming when I seat the bullet, but if that is the case, I can't be certain just by looking at it. This is with a Hornady seating die BTW and I am trying to be as consistent as possible when seating.
