That is without doubt, Adam. Why would a gun owner want to become involved with Gallery shooting, considering the Francis mantra?

What is more worrying for me, that given the inevitable review of firearms laws and because of his position in one tiny aspect of firearm use, it is probable that some uninitiated may ask for his opinion/recommendation.....

Could you imagine the constraints that would be applied if the "Gallery Nazi" had his way?!!!!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

What is point of power and influence if you can't abuse it for your own ends?

The reason I won't attend Phoenix is again is because of your view and your standing in Gallery Rifle.
I have to say that his view has had a negative impact on his discipline, I am now having second thoughts about trying to develop gallery rifle shooting at my club when someone with his position in the discipline promotes such an anti gun view.

Gallery rifle will now be associated with this lunatic stance much to its detriment I'm afraid.
You could still develop it at your club but under another guise (Pistol Calibre Rifle, Plinking Rifle ;) or whatever takes your fancy) and when someone asks why aren't you calling it Gallery Rifle you can explain why.

I can see the advantage in taking part in competitions at Bisley to promote the sport, but almost everybody has a computer to sign a petition, not everyone, indeed, most shooters in the UK, do not live near Bisley.

I thought you might. :good: You could also include downloaded rifles, 22WMR, the 17 rimfires and anything excluded by GR, in it.

Plinking rifle already exists, it is what the vast majority of shooters legitimately use their firearms for.

 I know and I'm happy to admit that I'm one.

Or - I shoot therefore I plink.

Come to think of it the only way to save shooting is to get everyone to plink.
