Agreed, iPhones seem to offer a multitude of ballistic apps, I use the full version of BulletFlight which is surprisingly accurate however I tend to use it for on the fly evaluations of ballistics, such as what happens on a very cold day or if the wind is at 5m/sec from 270 or similar.

BulletFlight is handy in that you can import the local weather in directly as well so as you move from location to location you can check pressure and temperature, downside is they are a PITA to read in bright light, they turn off after a few seconds, battery life can be poor and they are fragile. My fall back is a set of drops laminated and hanging off my 'scope rings with a copy in my bag. I use http://www.jbmballistics.com/ for calculations then copy and paste the data into xls and edit it to suit my needs and finally laminate it so it is waterproof.

I am yet to find a ballistic app that works as well as JBM and I am familiar enough with the chart and my rifle to know if I need to wind a click or two on and how it performs in wind. My drops cover 100-1200 yards on one side and 100 - 1100m on the other in 100 increments and are slightly smaller than the template of a cig packet

One of those KISS things for me ;)

Do not buy the one spud has a link to. It's pants.

Just download the free one offered by Jackson Rifles (link is on their web page). It's excel driven so just transfer to the phone and save as an excel file.

Just had a look and I have a spread sheet that allows you to enter your own data and build drops from it and it is only 86.5K so very small, works on XDA's as well. Covers the Rifle, Calibre, Powder, Load Data, Case, Bullet, Primer, Vel (fps), Bullet Wt, Bullet BC (G1), Start Dist, Range Inc, Altitude, Temp (F) Scope Ht, Zero, Wind mph Target vel and gives elevation in MOA and cm clicks etc.

I have used it a fair bit in the past and it works well and appears to be a chopped version of the one above so if anyone wants a copy let me know.

Can you save attachments from emails on your Blackberry? If so I can mail you the one I have which is very easy to use.
