Yup, they're a great bunch with really good facilities. I should hopefully have my application accepted soon :)

Yes, it is quite close to me. Is there a club near there?
Yep. Google Cheshunt rifle and pistol club.
Thanks, I will google that.

I think I have found a club, Herts & Essex Shooting Association. But they much further than Chesthunt Rifle and Pistol Club.

I am going to contact both of these clubs, to find out more.

This is from the HESR website:
Herts & Essex Shooting Association is a shooting club for all shooting disciplines.

We shoot both indoor (.22 and Gallery calibers up to 25m) and outdoor from 500m to 600. Airgun (standard and Field Target); Shotgun (Clay pigeon and practical); Historic arms, with shoots, collector meets and a lecture and exhibition program.

The main range is an indoor 25m range between Chelmsford and Braintree. Outdoor ranges include the military ranges at Colchester and Andrewsfield (50 m), near Braintree. As well as practical shooting (practical mini-rifle and shotgun), members shoot sporting rifle and gallery rifle; Police/1500 practices; .22 precision prone; bench rest; Western style; muzzle loading black powder pistol, musket and rifle; full bore target rifle; service rifle, sniper, rapid and timed fire events. Competitive shooting is available but not obligatory.

Members can shoot seven days a week with HESA, shooting different disciplines on different days, including some day time shooting.

Thanks for that. They seem to only do practical shooting. I like to do some full bore target shooting as well.
