Hi all,
I have a .308 Remington 700 SPS Varmint on order.
I have been offered at a really really really good price a Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole stock which will fit a 700 SPS short action for a standard factory barrel. http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/product.h ... 4&cat=1220
Looking on their site I see a specific Varmint Thumbhole stock for a 700 SPS short action bull barrel http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/product.h ... 6&cat=1221
The A and B dimensions don't differ much between the two.
Can I use the stock for the standard factory barrel and fettle it to fit the 700 SPS Varmint or would I be better ordering the specific Varmint Thumbhole stock?
regards
Bernie
