I am very intrested in taking this course, have been shooting most of my life but only returned in the last 2 years as son old enough. What are the pre requisites and how tough is it? I am a member of the NRA also is there an age limitation ie minimum age?
Thanks
Steve

Re: RCO course
Welcome to the forum Steve, from memory the pre-requisites are two years valid firearms experience, sign off from your Club Chairman and they do ask that you have assisted an RCO for at least 6 months prior to taking the NRA RCO course....
Minimum age, I have not seen this documented anywhere however if you fulfil the above requirements you should be OK.
If you read the booklet the NRA mail thoroughly and take it in then the course is OK, I did mine over one day which was quite tough but certainly doable.

I have the MOD/Army RMQ SA-B-90.....
Re: RCO course
Any views on how this compares to the NRA RCO course content wise?
Re: RCO course
It's a 2-3 week course and covers field firing areas, gallery ranges, barrack ranges, indoor .22 ranges and ETR ranges, in depth. However, as good as it is, you cannot RCO civilians with it, only military. It can be converted to an NRA qualification for the civilian side.
