Does anyone know what thread size is needed for the Hornaday / Stoney Point OAL gauge?
Google says 5/16" x 36 but I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm that please?

Yes its 5/16"x36.
Use a 19/64" drill then tap your case to 5/16"x36.
What size cases are you wanting to tap.
