Another possible firearms application boo boo?

#1 Post by bigfathairybiker »

Ok, I put down .50 down on my FAC application for ammunition for a muzzle loader!

Did I really need to put it on the form or as its just lead balls leave it off?

Also, since its taking a while for my doctor to get a report written I've changed my mind on what
I want. Is it ok to change the application after submitting it or should I wait for acceptance and
then put in for a variation when I finally choose a particular gun?

btw, offerings of tea and biccys to the FEO didnt help smooth the meeting along. I even went out and purchased some choccy hobnobs just for the occasion.

Nope, just filled in the bit on the form that asked if I've ever suffered from depression.

i dont know anyone that put lead balls on the fac, just the gun .... i dont no if they like you to but i didnt with my black powder . but at the end of the day its not "ammunition" as such is it its just lead balls for you sling shot  so im sure you cant class it as soemthign that goes on an fac othewise you would have to do the same with bullets you cast and heads you buy

I've submitted a variation while I'm waiting for my form to be processed. Rang them up and explained, they asked for an e-mail and said it shouldn't be a problem.

If you haven't had the visit yet, or are expecting another one, then you can ask then.

Otherwise give them a call and they'll tell you whether they would like a letter, email or whatever.
Just don't try and run before you can walk with this, no doubt you'll have a rethink in a few months and want to add to or alter the list anyway. We all do.

It doesn't usually take a few months to want more...
