IIRC thats how a guy did it in Andersons shop in Aberdeen a few years back.

Sad news for all involved and it has certainly prompted me to have a re-think about customers and firearms, even though the customers that do come through our doors are invariably known to us and never under any circumstances left alone with firearms.

According to the press this was indeed the same thing. Visitor to the shop took his own ammo, asked to look at a gun, then killed himself. He had recently been 'in contact' with the Police.
