That's the reason I'm going... I'd like to see one in the flesh before I part with the cash.

Re: Shooting Show, 2014
We were impressed when we picke dit up. We've pawed a L96 afore, but were a little concerned that corners might have been cut on the AT to ensure it met the price point it's intended to sell at. If corners have been cut, then they have been done so with a mitre block. It's a rugged, no-nonsense, robust lead chucker: we'd expect it to go on forever. It just feels right. We're already popping pennies into piggy...

Good synopsis. I can't imagine AI coming out with a rifle that dents their credibility. Are you still chasing a 6.5x55 chambered AT?

Oh indeedy, though we suspect the barrel may have to come from an aftermarket supplier...

We saw a nice Heym 7 x57mm carbine at the show, oomans, but don't know much about these rifles. We're scurrying away to google them but do you have any wisdom to impart to us too?

Re: Shooting Show, 2014
Just got back and I thought it was loads better than last year, I got to see everything and have a great chat with Accuracy International, Westlake Engineering and Caledonian Classic Arms. I also go to handle the vz.58 and an AI AT308, so it was well worth the trip. It was full but not too busy and it was a breeze to park and get in, they got it right this year.
