In many years of shooting I have formed the opinion that shooters are on the most part good people, but come along with various forms of 'baggage' and can be pains in the a**, have an I am alright jack mentality, as long as it is not my kind of shooting then cobblers to the rest, argumentative to the point of awkwardness as can be evidenced on this forum and others, helpful, kind even, but I wonder if other sportsmen/women in their respective hobbies have to put up with being vilified by the press/government. I don't think so. Does the shooting sports 'attract' a certain kind of mentality?HALODIN wrote:Interesting... I guess pistols are an emotive subject for a variety of reasons, but it's a shame there isn't a sense of `for the greater good.`

I sometimes do wonder! I also think that 'we' are our own worst enemy sometimes. Now maybe the argumentative type will respond to my post with some diatribe, so feel free.
Good shooting to all (irrespective of your discipline).
