I don't support it. Its a total waste of time.

I fail to see how signing an online petition, could be defined has a waste of time... because how much time are you really wasting, 1 minute... 5 minutes tops; are you fellow shooters not worth 5 minutes of your time, even if you yourself will not benefit from any improvement in this area of legislation?

I haven't been fishing since I was in high school, quite a few years ago now, but would I sign a petition to help support recreational fishermen? of course I would.

There are arguably some genuine reasons to be unsupportive of such a campaign or repeal of law, none I agree with, but there may be some, however I do not personally consider "I don't like pistols" or "I don't shoot pistols" or reasons of the same ilk to be much of an excuse, such is the manner prohibition, one step at a time... you don't have to like pistols, or even consider the effort to have any chance of success but nothing will deny it the chance more than fellow shots saying "nahhh i can't be bothered", or "sorry mate, but I only shoot shotguns, so not interested".

I didn't realise they existed. What's their line of logic? As a relative newcomer, I imagined it was one for all and all for one...

You'd be surprised at how many shooters are happy to see further restrictions so long as it doesn't effect them, there a quiet a few on these forums as evidenced by their posts. More worryingly some of these people are and were in "high" places in the shooting establishment.

That doesn't bode well. What disciplines do they shoot or is it the full spectrum?

Interesting... I guess pistols are an emotive subject for a variety of reasons, but it's a shame there isn't a sense of `for the greater good.`
