I was told that a Comobulator is anything that somebody doesn't know the proper name for it.

I came across it when the AV company that wired our house had to fit a little black box in the picture feed out of the back of the Amp. Sometimes the picture goes off but audio remains. Press a little button on the Comobulator and the picture comes back.

I was told the proper name but promptly forgot it.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
