8 Weeks now, just called the Dept and spoke to a guy. Apparently there's a backlog and he's got a load to enter today, he said he'd dig mine out and place it to the top of the pile. I wasn't fishing for special treatment, was just checking the form was OK and a rough ETA so I can stop running to the letterbox like a child!

The assistant will wander along and then put today's application on top of the pile, followed by tomorrows and so on. The FEO should be taking them from the bottom of the pile - as they have been their longest! So, did he mean "top of the pile" and is that a punishment for pestering him? razz

Just had an email from my FEO apologising for the delay. He had rubber stamped it last week but then it's someone else's job to actually send it out.

That's something at least. From what I gathered from the guy I spoke to they just need entering into the database now, hopefully that's not a long job :-)

First FAC applications are always frustrating as it can seem like it is taking forever. Just wait until your first renewal when you get it in 3 months ahead of time and it still has not arrived on time. Our licensing department (Beds) merged with Hertfordshire which was a worry however they are now very good at getting things done on time.

Good luck all fingerscrossed

Although it's taken 2 months in total I'm pretty happy with the service from Herts & Beds FLU :)
