Anybody shoot a 9.5 x 47R? I just bought a Comblain in this calibre as a restoration project. There is a lot of work required, but it has potential and I intend to shoot it someday. Any advice on loading would be gratefully received.

FredB, would you mind posting pictures of the restoration project as you go along?

Re: 9.5 x 47R
Thanks---I have seen this article. Problem is, the photos of the rounds shown look nothing like my samples of Bertram brass and even less like my chamber cast.
I have some "as purchased" photographs, but I have not yet succeeded in posting photos on this forum---I need to be reminded where the instructions are.
Current plan, while the barrel is off the receiver, is to turn up a reamer to the shape of the chamber cast and make a forming die. This will be slightly undersized to allow final fire-forming. The 20 sample Bertram cases that I have are the correct size from the head forward for the first inch or so. After that, they need necking down.
