New Years Resolutions

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

So what is your shooting related New Years Resolution? Mine are:

Get the Viking out on the range more often this year so I trimmed, chamfered and stainless tumbled 150 22-6,5x47 cases for her last night
Shoot the F/TR Phoenix comps with an M66 as a potential warm up for the Europeans.
Shoot at least one S Class comp
Build some subs for the 7,62x51 I have a few tubs of Trail Boss coming in next week and should have some B416's somewhere so no excuses.

Pay off my credit card.

Then if I can save enough. Enter the PSUK and the European FTR comps with a M66 repeater, maybe even the Autumn GRAW.

I would also like to shoot a McQueen Max this year..

I would just like to shoot more....... (wife to finish uni and kids to leave home!)
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I resolve to try and shoot more, but will have to balance that with my work with the Army. The year is barely a week old and I have already found a conflict! I'm also planning on shooting the Phoenix this year, with a load that I have developed, allowing me to only blame myself this year.

Actually, that's a bad thing...

I'm not one for resolutions, but here goes -

1) Balance my study with my shooting,

2) Build on last years S-Class shooting with Strathpeffer and hopefully place in this years comp,

3) Cast more boolits!

4) Enter more club competitions.

My new years resolutions are.
Fill some slots on my ticket
