Dutch Shotguns

#1 Post by wildrover77 »

I have purchased a couple of semi auto shotguns in Holland. The vendor is organizing shipping.

He is asked if he can post them over, I assume like the UK it is legal to use the postal service to transport guns in Holland.

How about the transfer from PostNL to Royal Mail, Will this work?

Yes they are coming to a UK RFD

It should just be a matter of shipping them via a courier however the vendor must organise an Export permit before they leave the country and there is a very good chance he will be asked for a copy of the Open Import Licence (OIL) of the receiving RFD. This is of course an utter nonsense as in theory an OIL is not required for European cross border transactions. Regardless of this it will almost certainly be asked for and paperwork not issued until it is received.

Shout if you need more information.
