No real extravagance in 2013 - couldn't afford any!

Best bargain - 250 rds of 8x56R (Bulgarian WWII surplus) at £26/100 from Adam. Got to keep the Steyr breathing fire! :shakeshout:

Ooooh, an M14, any good as a straight pull?

My extravagance for 2013 was buying a Clarkson Mk2 Tool & cutter grinder for making chamber reamers, and other gun related tooling.
Best bargain, was finding a Mosin Nagant receiver in France for €45.
So far I've only managed to shoot 30 rounds through it on Bisley Zero using iron sights. Shot well straight from the box, only required 3 windage clicks to get it spot on. That was on iron sights. Extraction with my home loads no problem. Apparently they like GGG but not Military Standard NATO loads as the brass is too hard.

.22 No.4 conversion for £600. Lovely rifle to shoot, though - and mess free!

Two extravagances from my pension:
1/ A lovely Schmidt Rubin 96/11
2/ An even nicer Sako Riihimake 7x33 in mint condition
Both from an auction and at good prices.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

Extravagance: An Adam CBC 8 counting balance. Wouldn't be without it now.

Bargain: A toss-up between the Denver 4DP analytical balance (0.0001 gram/0.0015 grain) for £250, or many thousands of Nosler CC .30 cal bullets.
