I have a Hawke Frontier 3-9x40 mil dot scope on my K31 and have no issues with it. The optics are good for the price and so far, it has withstood the recoil of several hundred rounds of 7.5x55 without any problems.

No experience of the hawke but I have 2 mtc taipans 1 on my 223 & 1 on my 6.5x55. For the money there great they track and thus far (2years) have never lost zero even after dialling out to 1000.
But I've just bought an optimate 20x42 fixed and the glass is incredible for the money!
