My concern with this is that shooters will not attend the services provided by (what was) the NHS. Failing to seek help or advice when feeling out of sorts can eventually lead to a form of depression. A downward spiral which in a tiny number of cases, without help and intervention, could result in firearms being used to take life.
Curious how this would pan out if you turned up with your partner and asked for marrige councilling etc?

If you want to keep your ticket, don't access any form of mental health service or visit your doctor for anything other than a life-threatening illness. I do wonder what the police would/could do if you de-registered from the NHS altogether.

Notice how on the latest grant/renewal form the list of qualifying medical conditions has expanded far beyond the old "stress or depression". Strokes and heart disease now count against you! This is nothing to do with public safety, this is about widening the net of conditions that can be used to refuse and revoke FACs/SGCs.

How do we stop this? How do we get seats round the tables of the cosy chats which erode ever more of our freedom to go about our daily business without being spied upon by every state employee and his dog, purely because we want to take part in a lawful and low-risk activity?

Not sure that's really changed much to be honest Gaz, I have always had to disclose other medical conditions although they may not have been specified by name on the form as stress and depression were. Note question 15a on the old form 101 - "Do you suffer from any medical condition or disability including..." etc (my bold).

The application process for grant, renewal or variation of a firearm or shotgun certificate changes substantially on 1 December. The new process has benefitted from substantial input from the National Governing Bodies through the British Shooting Sports Council and although still rather cumbersome is a considerable improvement.

I note from another forum, that the notes on airguns say they can now only be transferred/sold via an RFD

A typo yes, but still present on the forms!

So how does one fill in form 202 to increase an ammunition limit? Say if one had 1000 .22RF, and wanted 2000?

One could:
a) specify 1000 .22RF in the ADD section, OR
b) specify 1000 .22RF in the DELETE section, and then 2000 .22RF in the ADD section.

Anyone care to suggest the correct way forward?
