woundnt they find themselves in hard postion trying to justfy to the crown court judge why they think i'm not suitable to hold firearms when the surrey police deem me fit ??? and my gp has signed me off, so they know more then a qualified doctor ??!!

Make sure you are already a member of a shooting organisation that will fight your case. It will be too late if you leave it until you move.

already a full NRA member, in fact i spoke to them and they said they never had case like that so should be ok but i forgot to ask about when it comes to re newel time !

Exactly this /\ /\ :good: Particularly as there's a push to get all FLD's 'singing from the same hymn sheet' at the moment (so they can jack up costs :roll: ). Personally i don't think you've got anything to worry about

I am pretty sure that in the recently published HO Guidelines there is a section covering this very topic and providing advice to Chief Constables about FAC holders moving into their patch.

Can be found on the library section I believe.

Move house and do your transfer, they've probably got more pressing matters than someone who's already got an FAC.

I always found the met firearms licensing team to be excellent. I lived in a shared house for a number of years and had no issues with keeping firearms at home subject to the usual security arrangements.
