The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

Rule 101, always treat firearm as if they're loaded.
Sadly the owner paid the price for leaving this loaded at the point .... emrolleyes

Don't be too surprised if there is a call to tighten up the firearms laws (again) because of the tragedy in Moscow.
I know what you are thinking, it didn't happen here, but that doesn't seem to matter to the anti-gun zealots.

What a totally avoidable waste of life.
Take a quick shuftie through utube and you'll find plenty more scenarios that had the capacity to end just like this one.

The kid had plenty of time to aim, clearly setting his sights on his target, this was no accident whatever the official excuse.

Tragic stuff that should never happened.
Why/how did the instructor/RCO allow it to happen? Not checking the rifle is clear, allowing the kid to pick up the rifle and aim and also filming them seems a trifle lax...
Not saying that they are the only ones to blame but they are the last link in the safety chain and, I assume, are responsible for what goes on at the range.
