Has anyone had any success with Hornady Amax 155. Especially long range. l would like to have a go developing a load for these.
Your input could save me some time and powder etc.
Many thanks Telshe sign92

I use them in my .308 Steyr SSG 69. Lapua cases neck sized with 42.3 grains of Vitavouri N140. They perform very well in my bang stick.

I once shot the DCRA Championships with factory A-Max. It went a lot better than I can shoot.

Well, I've revised my opinion of those bullets upwards a little - you aren't *that* bad a shot. smile2IainWR wrote:I once shot the DCRA Championships with factory A-Max. It went a lot better than I can shoot.
[In fairness I have absolutely no experience to base any opinion of A-Max on. I can't help thinking that plastic doesn't belong in a match bullet though].
..
Edit - added smiley in case dour Scot takes me seriously.

I have a box of 20 in the cupboard - open to offers around the price of RUAG if anyone wants to try them.

AMAX G1 BC = . 435
Sierra 2156 G1 BC = .449
Berger 155.5= .464
Berger Hybrid = . 484
.020 BC = +- 0.4 MOA win drift in 10 mph at 1000
Do the maths
