Guest day and FAC holder

Question that came up in conversation earlier. If an FAC holder who is not a member of a rifle club wants to come and shoot at the club (as a one-off thing), using club guns rather than his own, can he do so or is it only doable within the confines of an organised/notified guest day?

I don't know the legislation, but AFAIK at our club FAC holders can pay to attend and zero their own rifles, but to use club (or member's) guns they'd need (at least provisional) membership.

I think its entirely down to club rules rather than legislation. I know a club that won't even let FAC holders near the firing points to watch, and others where you just pay a 'walk on' fee and you can use your own guns on their range
