I have just watched Antiques Roadshow and they put an appeal out for a special show they are doing to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War in 2014.
As some people on here have an interest in family history and have posted about relatives who fought I thought I'd spread the word.

Re: Antiques Roadshow, World War 1 Special.
Some 3500 sent in stories for this edition and about 40 were selected. Unlike a normal Roadshow of queuing up and being selected for a slot with an item of merit it has been done through a request for memorable stories items etc. Filming was on Wed / Thur this week at Thiepval on the Somme, apparently there will be 2 editions one in the spring and one over remembrance weekend. It should have some fascinating personal stories.
