There is a very interesting video/dvd on the restoration of 4 AA guns to commemorate the battle for Malta
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00004CP7S/papas-21
It is a documentary about an artillery veteran's search for anti-aircraft guns of the type used on Malta in WWII, his success in finding them & their installation on Malta as a memorial to those who served in the Royal Artillery both British & Maltese.
I have a copy, and I have sat on the guns at the barracks, when we watched my wifes nephew do his passing out parade. clapclap
( I got told off for playing with them)

If you visit the island, there is still a lot of reminders of the siege to see, even if they have replaced a lot of the original cannons with fibreglass ones and got rid of the buses. **** **** **** **** **** **** bangbang
