.22 single shot insert

Hallo,

If somebody has got one, can you tell me how is a .22 single shot insert viewed/treated from a legal point of view in GB please ?
Does one need to have a 22 slot for it on their FAC or is it deemed as an accessorie for the main "authorised" rifle on the ticket ?

Just to be clear, I am talking about that sort of thing that enables to shoot a .22 round into a full bore rifle.

I have had them before, I requested a .22 calibre conversion unit on the FAC, no problem.

By ".22 single shot insert" you appear to mean "a barrelled .22 single shot action"...

So "barrelled .22 single shot action" is how I should call it when talkg my firearms officer ? I only know the German and the French name.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were making a joke there. Under UK law, a barrelled action is a complete licensable firearm.

Is the picture of a complete rifle? Or is there a small component inside? (a sub-calibre adapter)

What's the French/German name, perhaps someone will know the exact translation.

What you see on the picture is the unit I am thinking about buying. You drop the "insert/sub-barrel" into a K98 and use the bolt provided.

In France it is either call "Kit de conversion 22Lr" by civilians and military tend to call it "tube reducteur" and it is also treated as a weapon, meaning it takes one slot from our quota . It is called "Einstecklauf" in German.
