Yes, some years ago I bought a suede waistcoat from a charity shop and have been cutting it up for various projects. For the Marlin lever loop just cut a long narrow strip and wrapped round. You could try craft shops or ebay for leather pieces.

I have some pink leather left over from a project that the moderators had me do some time back....

What style lever cover are you after, the wound-around bootlace type, or the solid length of of hide either laced or press-studded in place??

Lock and load,
Impress yo broad,
Empty that Marlin

Mine is sooooo easy to rack!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

I used a piece of plastic tube, slit length ways, eased over finger lever and taped in place with Duck tape! Works well enough for me :good:

The tube was one of those things from under the bench in the man cave that I had saved 'just in case'. Just proves it IS necessary to store all that c**p :shakeshout:
