Cheylesmore
Just had an email from the NRA Shooting Club, seems next Tuesday they will be shooting on Cheylesmore in the morning.
What sort of range is Cheylesmore, I've never been there, not even sure how to get to it!

Small, dark and in need of some weedkiller the last time I was there. It's not far from Melville.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: Cheylesmore
It's the forgotten cousin to Melville, very similar but a bit rough round th edges, and not as big.
You will find it in among the caravans!

Re: Cheylesmore
Go to Google Maps, zoom in on Bisley, find Melville and at about 5 o'clock you'll see what looks like a 3 bay range in amongst the trees and caravans.

Re: Cheylesmore
turn left after the hut on the way in to Bisley follow nose will you come to a building set back from the road & a big 8foot tree stump on the left with a sign on it saying Cheylesmore range > follow down the track & turn right, follow nose past ablution block & bingo your there.
Its the old NSRA 50m range but somebody converted it to 25yds & created a car park now full of coaches that ruin the rough roads. The bus drivers drive in & out at 50mph in thir cars too & treat shooters / pedestrians like crap.
