Worcester Norton Open Day

#1 Post by UKYankee »

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd mention on here that Worcester Norton are having an open day on Sunday 26 May from 10.00 - 4.00 party2 . Lots of members bring lots of firearms to try from 9mm lever release to 338's to black powder cannons and the shotgun pit will be open for anyone that wants to shoot some steels.

Last years was a great day and I'm sure this year will be just as good. I hope to see some of you there.

Sounds great!
I've never shot 338 before so I'd be keen to have a go.

Do you have to register in advance or can you just turn up and shoot?

Don't need to book, just get there when you want and have a wander around the club. Plenty of interesting things to try out.

Are you sure that they'll be shooting a .338?

I'm hoping he'll bring it along. Shot it a couple of times and it's great.

Hi Dave,

Do you know the order of the day? I'm bringing a guest along and was hoping to let him shoot some of my guns/ammo but have a feeling all the points will be taken up by "pay and play". Any idea's?

I think if you leave it to later in the day they'll be some free points by then. Last years open day was really busy late morning and early afternoon but started to get a little quiet towards the end. As you're a member you can shoot til dusk so have a chat with John and see if you can use the point with a guest after the open day officially ends at 4.00pm.

Failing that they have member guest days every other month so you could bring your guest then.

Thanks Dave. Might head up later then and start with the day with a BBQ : ) Will your Lantac be making an appearance? Would be interested to see one in the flesh.

Unfortunatly the wife and I realised last night we are double booked, we've got tickets to see Muse at The Emirates stadium in London on 26th May. Hhmm, lots of big guns to play with or watch a gig, we're still not sure which way we'll decide.

Went to the open day today, had a good day out, tagged along with some guys from derby. We all had a go at semi auto shotgun and pump action, first time and it was brilliant, knocking down steel plated targets.

Shot saiga ak 7.62....sgc ar15 .223. semi auto .22 pistol, the other blokes had a go on the cannon and some muzzle loaders, pistol and rifle.

All in all, a top sunday out..
