Finally got to hoot the CG63 , wow this is an accurate rifle! Started with some FNM match ammo, very soft and sooty cases on firing but very tight group at 200 yds. Tried my loads ,very tame as I am fireforming new Lapua brass.
First load = 140gr Hornady Amax ,36.1gr N150. -- very quiet load ,primers normal, group size 4" 10 shots (200yd) Soderin sight.
Second load = 140gr Amax moly ,36.1 gr N150 -- very quiet load, primers normal,group size 42 9 shots ,1 called flyer 200yds
Third load == 140gr Sierra ,36 gr N140 ,better load ,primers ok group 3.5" 10 shots ,200 yds.
The weather deteriorated rapidly at this point so I will continue later.
Very pleased with it so far , I need to know more about the Soderin sight ,this rifle was designed for 300 metre shooting ,will there be enough vertical adjustment in the sight ?
Now I know the rifle's a good 'un I'll up the loads progressively and try different bullets.
