Magpul leaving Colorado.

#1 Post by Mike357 »

Well it appears that HB1224 has been signed into law in the state of Colorado. This legislation bans high capacity mags. As you know Magpul make Pmags and as a consequence they going to cease production in Colorado, sack those not willing to relocate to an"friendly state" and move elsewhere. I believe they have also stopped supplying Govt and Federal agencies in anti gun states.

Just goes to show that all this bullshit and hysteria about high cap mags and assault rifles is more important than jobs. Even after the Assault Rifle ban looking as though it will be dropped.

Magpul are now prioritising orders for Colorado citizens prior to the new law coming into force on 1st July. They have code named this the Boulder Airlift.

They shouldn't have to do this but good on 'em.

Well not much of a victory when you watch this. Not the greatest piece of video but proves a point we already knew!

If someone is hell bent on breaking the law, they will have a dozen or so 30rnd magazines and still be able to reload in under 3 seconds.

Last time I checked most people hell bent on committing mass murder were not too fussy about breaking the law anyway, so having a ban on standard capacity magazines is nothing more than display of ignorance and of cow-towing to the yoghurt-knitters.

Futile and stupid: nowt like making yourself unemployed next election eh!

As above, Magpul are doing the right thing...tough on some workers but hey, who's fault is that. I see that Gun Free Zones :cool2: :cool2: are still in Colorado, looks like they still haven't figured that one out yet....

All other posts here valid points, capacity means nothing, neither does background checks for online sales because you cannot buy a gun online, it gets shipped to a FFL dealer...I dounbt a private seller in say texas woyuld send to a bloke in COlorado and not ask for ID ed etc, just won't happen...All about ignorance plus smoke and mirrors to please the gullibles.
DENVER (AP) — The governor of Colorado signed bills Wednesday that put sweeping new restrictions on sales of firearms and ammunition in a state with a pioneer tradition of gun ownership and self-reliance.

The bills thrust Colorado into the national spotlight as a potential test of how far the country might be willing to go with new gun restrictions after the horror of mass killings at an Aurora movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school.

The approval by Gov. John Hickenlooper came exactly eight months after dozens of people were shot at the theater, and the day after the executive director of the state Corrections Department was shot and killed at his home (irrelevant event eh, Chuck!).

The bills require background checks for private and online gun sales and ban ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

Not yet anyway. But never say never. The Tories are desparate to hold onto power and will do anything to distract the people, there will be a witch hunt of some kind before the election.

I don't think that will happen, what's left to ban???? DC is a shooter, so you'd hope that he'll resist any further restrictions
