Re: Man Cave
This Xmas we added some new benching for stuff and I took the chance to build a more dedicated reloading area at one end for my side of the process, it still needs some finishing touches such as painting and a tidy up but here it is. A lot better than before but I still have loads of things to fit in and it is already feeling cramped...

Re: Man Cave
Seeing you in the picture Dromia reminds me of Saturday morning which saw me casting slugs with my son who turned up to add a professional eye to the job. Armed with Christel's ex best ladle cunning bashed to shape and a pair of safety glasses around my neck I held the ladle with chopped up lead in whilst James played gas torch on it and the job was done in a few minutes.
I had drilled ejector holes in the mould and they do allow lead to escape (Not good when you are wearing crocs) I discovered a strip of masking tape on the underside works perfectly as a stop.
After that I took 40mm of bar, bored it .330" at one end and .320" at the other end with a slight taper to start and bashed the slugs through to give me nicely sized slugs.
