I can honestly say they've never let me down. I can't say that of the NRA.Robin128 wrote:I'm with BASC because I hunt and I always get immediate first class support and information when ever I ask.

Re: Who to join?
When/If the new National Shooting Centre is built at Livingston, the NRA should set up a Scottish branch, not a seperate organisation but a branch of the NRA. That way the voice isn't diluted, hymn sheets and all that.
Have the same connection between NRA/Bisley and NRA/ Livingston. This would encourage membership further north and increase the voice of shooting sports.

It's a touchy subject for some of us who have been around for a while. Sorry to hijack your thread BUT you should be aware of the NRA's limitations.
Would they were as powerful as the NRA in America.

NRA in USA totally different and a pro force to be reckoned with...they really are on the shooters side.

Re: Who to join?
I have been a member of BASC in the past, no problems with it, for me the NRA offers access to Bisley and the competitions that go with it plus shooting from 100 to 1200 just about every day of the year. If I was hunting then things might be different.
Which reminds me, it would be nice to get out and do some stalking at some point as I have never tried it before, time to find out more I think. :)
