Help - name that rifle

#1 Post by Mike357 »

A club member has posted this picture on our Forum and asked us to name the rifle.

I'm cheating by tapping into the vast knowledge on FBUK. Anybody know the make & model? Looks like Ovenpaa

Martini Henry of some sort?

I would just like to point out that Ovenpaa has a beard so it can't be him.

Nice picture and yes it looks like a MH.

For no good reason it reminds me of the picture from WWI of a British solder with his horse which is down, by the side of the road. From memory they are quite near a building and it is captioned 'Goodbye old friend' or similar. if anyone knows the picture please do shout.
