I've use Rainier copper plated bullets to great effect in my 357 Winchester but Rainier recommends 1500fps as a maximum velocity - so you're back to square one if you want to go faster!

There is no hassle with cast boolits, just buy them off the shelf cast and sized to fit your gun if you don't want the fun and improved performance of casting your own.

I forgot to mention in the previous post about Xlox is the reason why people think it is the lube is because you tumble the boolits as cast so unsized and therefore they tend to fit better so no leading. People then think it is the lube when actually it accidental boolit fit.
