These people are not shooters or true spoertsmen, just ammo wasters and self interested traitors to our sport. I hope the Yanks send a clear message to the anti's.

zzzzom Indeed
I've seen one of my chosen pastimes decimated over the decades, lost my semi autos CFs in 86-87 and pistols in '97.
I was fed up then and I'm fed up now with hearing some factions within the sport of shooting and other related pursuits who are willing to criticize and sacrifice the use of a particular type of firearm in the futile hope that it will preserve their own interests/discipline.
As a pistol/rifle/shotgun shooter I attended various BASC meetings in the late 90's after Dunblane and I was frankly ashamed to hear what was being said about pistol shooting by the shotgun fraternity.
At the Winchester Guild Hall meeting I stood up and did my best to defend the ownership of handguns and frankly, Swift and his cohorts weren't interested despite pretending to represent all shooting sports.
If any of this latest scare is real, it's about time that everybody starts to pull together because it is just another skid down the slippery slope we've been travelling for some years now.
A start would be for all of the shooting press be it, horse and hounds, archery, air gun, soft air, paintballing, shotgun and rifle to get off their ars*s and recognize that there is a threat to the whole lot as each bit gets nibbled away by the anti-rodents. Editors, get your act together and carry editorials pointing out the bleedin' obvious route we're all heading down.
For god sake, a lot of the magazines covering these different pursuits are owned by the same company's and publishers, what is so difficult?
Also, get out there on the web on other disciplines forums to spread the word.
