I'm getting very, very, very bored with the terms "Assault" and "high capacity". What "exactly" are these people basing their information on?

What makes anything "assault"? Well, I would say that anything used in an assault of another person(s) is an assault weapon, be it an AR15, or a lamp.

High capacity? What does that mean? Anything over 10 rounds?, 5?, 2? who makes that call?

Even if the world goes nuts and people are only allowed electrically fired, muzzle-loading muskets for personal use, as soon as a nut job kills someone with that these leftie loons will call it an assault-musket.

I'm waiting for the day that those deadly assault, high-capacity, compound bows are banned when someone goes on a spree with one.

It doesn't bode well for the black rifle in the UK. Once the US bans them we will follow suit. :(

The average black gun in the UK is a sanitised/Neutered version of the original and no more than a clunky bolt gun in most respects however on a plus side they conform to UK law. To use America as a reason to further limit the types of firearm in the UK would be a weak way of implementing new legislation.

So much easier for the politicians to simply say feck it, you cannot keep firearms any longer and I doubt they have the balls to do such a thing.

Yet.

Indeed. We shall see but I'm betting any ban in the States will precede 'something' here.

Another unworkable proposal, how can you ban something, but allow existing owners (who are currently unregistered) to keep what they already have, and require that they register their possessions? How many of these existing owners do they think will comply with the registration process?

The Republic of Texas??? Look out for the 2nd American Civil War

The States are just that. They are independent states. Joined for the common good by a federal government.
The fed is there to provide for common defense and moderate disputes between the states.

Somewhere along the way the Fed's has convinced everyone they there are incharge of everyone and will tell us what to do.

The States can do whatever they want, and it is about time they told the Fed and the elected officials from communist states like California where to pack the sand, And to keep their communist drivle within their state boundries.
