I have seen these in books but never in the flesh, do you ever come across them Dromia?

That was the only one I have ever seen for sale and I bought it straight away. The chap was asking a very good price for it but I would have paid three times that for it, as you say you just don't see them. It works very well too. Evidently it was a tad too over engineered and fragile for the troops though, that along with the cost methinks is why it was never fully adopted, only being in use for a couple of years

I was also lucky that one of my No2s has the chamfered bolt face for the magazine. So a happy marraige.

Initially the thought of rattling a .22LR down a .303 seemed strange but I suspect at 25 yards they are probably quite accurate and a good training tool, have you tried it out yet?

I could use one in my .22 Long Lee tarining rifle , I believe the .303 had a morris tube inserted to form a .22 liner , as seen here . http://www.rifleman.org.uk/Miniature_ca ... ming_Tubes

The Pattern 14 No2s are Parkerifled conversions for .22"RF.

I've got a A.T.C Hale aperture back sight on it and its as accurate as my No8.
