I could probably load .45ACP cheaper than I can buy rimfire ammo and there is one huge benefit..... seeing a lumpy old .45 case being ejected over my right shoulder!! Sorry, not for me, it is a neutered offering for the UK market and leaves me cold. We used to shoot pistol, the law changed, we can no longer shoot pistol. Time to move on is my view.

My feelings exactly.
I don't pander to the government's social control legislation by fiddling with abortions like this & straight pull versions of semi automatic rifles.
Instead I damage the UK balance of trade by having two holidays a year in the US & shooting whatever I damn' well like.
In fact as I type, I'm sitting at a mate's kitchen table in Albuquerque, NM whilst taking a break from loading .357mag & .45ACP I expended up at the NRA Whittington Centre over the weekend.

To me like others here it is an abomination and affront to all things holy and the natural order of the universe!

However we are looking at it with the hindsight and experience of having owned and shot "proper" handguns however over the past 16 years since this country abused an innocent minority of its citizens for cheap political gain a whole new cohort of people have come into shooting who have no experience of "proper" handguns. To their new and unjaundiced eyes it is just another firearm to explore, learn to shoot and enjoy so to them I say good luck, if it gets people shooting and sharing a common interest around such anathemas then it has to be good and who are we to foist our prejudices on the up and coming generations of shooters? Is that our legacy?
