I was asking one of my local RFDs about straight pull AR platform rifles as I'd been told he now sells them and wondered if he could get one in 300 BLK (unfortunately not).
They are available; there is a man who makes them :good: - I've had a go on one, suppressed it's not much louder than an air-rifle.

I know, there are a few different ones about (if you can get one), I've shot one as well (Bradley Arms) :good: Unfortunately his website is almost useless with no information on pricing or even a 300 BLK page or photos.

I asked Wayne at NWCP for a price and he was going to see what he could do.

I would really like to see a NEA-15 in 300 (North Eastern Arms), I've shot their 223 in the US and it's a nice bit of kit, now being sold in straight pull over here but so far only in 223 at £1300 (from LanTac) so quite a bit cheaper than the usual offerings.

That'll be the same one I tried. Handled beautifully and looked nice too! He's spent a fair bit of time working on the 300 BLK and if I were in the market for one, then it would be from him.

Mark's website hasn't changed for some time, mainly because I don't think that he needs to advertise that much. If you give him a call, I'm sure he'll discuss the various options with you.

The one I shot belongs to a member of the Consett club.

The more time I wait to get one the more I sit and think why bother?, I have 2 x 308s, a lovely Henry .44 and the S&W 22rf for blatting away with so indoor and outdoor ranges are both pretty well covered!.

On the other hand . . . . . they do look nice and are fun to shoot so why not!

Been talking/emailing a few gun plumbers as I'm close to buying.

Bradley - having problems with part supply, probably back in production next month.
Bob Clark - seems ok with me, useful advice, even offered to talk "off the record" about reloads !
Paul from Lantac - loads of info, couldn't ask for more.

Well, I've got my variation back in 7 days, a nice tax refund to pay the deposit & permission from SWMBO to buy it !
Probably getting the Lantac TCR with 18" heavy barrel ! Excited doesn't cover it ;)

You won't regret it! I love the fact i have something that is relatively cheap to run, will eat most ammos, is versatile for longer ranges and its accurate whilst been good fun for knocking over fig 11's!

I have a .223 slot and have been looking at Lantac, trouble is unless you can pay monthly I just can't drum up the folding atm as I don't use credit cards.

Lantac are also selling the NEA (North Eastern Arms) Canadian AR platform rifles, get pretty good reviews and they're a bit cheaper at £1300.

I'm almost tempted but £1300 for something I may only be able to shoot once a month is pushing it as far as being able to justify the cost :bad:

Yeah sorry Paul, NWCP got the poor reviews. Thanks for your help on the phone this week.
