Strange that you had no reply ive phoned 3 times this past week, and got straight through, I will say its funny when I do call, because it kind of suggests to leave a message but if you stay on line for a few seconds the line rings, and bingo im chatting away :good:

I had the same problem ringing an 0207 number but actually if you ring his harrogate number then you get right through try 01423 782004. I did find they didn't respond to my emails either, I have a feeling he has too many going on as when he checked (when i was actually there) my email was there with a few others.

On a separate note, i did shoot my rifle properly for the first time the other day, we put 230rd Mil surp and it was great fun and pretty accurate with that ammo. I tried some match stuff at 100yds and we were getting 1.5MOA without trying too hard, so i guess if we run the barrel in a bit more and take our time over the shots we should be able to get 1moa at 100yds. A guy at my club who has another brand of AR15 straight pull thought the quality was much better so it was interesting that he felt so strongly about that. The end product is worth the wait even if it is 3 months late!

You should be able to get better than 1 MOA with match Ammo.

Interesting development (well for me anyway!) :good:

I was asking one of my local RFDs about straight pull AR platform rifles as I'd been told he now sells them and wondered if he could get one in 300 BLK (unfortunately not) when I asked him what the specs were for the .223 I got a bit of a surprise, he only sells one type, the LMT and it's cheaper than Lan Tac who are one of the main distributors.

Paul did email me back with that 2nd number, going to call him in a few days when I've compiled a list of questions... smile2

If P Moore gave them a bad review I am certain that it was on the basis of that the company concerned didn't take out the advertising option. That is the only way any kit gets a bad review in Gun Mart. I know for fact that if you take out the advertising option you can write your own review.

The current gun comic publishers of which Blaze seems to be predominant have has as much integritry as a virtual brothel populated by politicians.

Lets face it these gun rag scribblers see them selves as "Journalists" so as such deserve no respect.
I have been quietly lurking biding my time but a mention of shooting sports is enough for me to come out of the wood work! I will introduce myself properly in the newbie section soon.

I used to buy shooting sports every month, I liked that it didn't focus on any particular discipline or subject and had a spread of articles that touched on all areas of our sport. I personally looked forward to the monthly military historic or service rifle review as that is my personal area of interest when it comes to shooting (as you might note by signature ;) ) .

I now only buy that magazine when I think there is a particular article that is interesting. Aside from that the magazine just isn't the same quality it was. The main thing I enjoyed is now gone, so there is no monthly military historic or service rifle review/article, I don't trust the reviews as they appear to nearly conclude all items are good to perfect. I can't trust a magazine that appears to have nothing bad to say about any item they review especially when there appears to be an advert bang slap next to said item every month. Finally there is the issue of Air Rifles and Shooting sports! Now don't get me wrong I think Air Rifles have every right to be in that magazine especially as it has historically covered all aspects of our sport, I shoot air rifles myself and enjoy it! But....every month half of Shooting sports appears to be devoted to Air Rifles! That rather irritates me when things like military historic gets no space at all now. One or two air rifle articles or reviews fine but half the magazine when there are dedicated titles for that shooting discipline? Again I am happy to see Air Rifles in shooting sports, heck I wouldn't even be bothered if Airsoft made an appearance but too many pages are devoted to it now whilst other disciplines have been pushed out.

I politely made these points to one of the pretty girls on the Shooting Sports stand at the Shooting show in February but the editor was nowhere to be seen. Hey ho.

I hope you forgive this forum newbie just leaping in but I couldn't resist.

Ahh, OK.

We dont sell LMT's either. They are imported by LEI and Garry Hardings, who works for LEI, distributes them to the shops. NWCP re sells them.
They wont let us buy them though

On another note I need to phone you guys at Lan-Tac sometime, my Sa vz.58 on order will be fitted with an AR15 mag well adaptor. Apparently the magwell adaptor can be a bit sensitive about what mags you can put in it. I have some SA80 magazines sourced but I want to get some new ones as well. Standard USGI mags will work fine but polymer can be iffy, I want to try Magpul EMAG, gen 3 pmag and troy.

I was hoping to bring the rifle to a shoot you are at so I can try a few out for fit before stumping the money down. Any other person who goes for a .223 vz.58 will want to know the same thing.

For the curious this is the beastie and how it looks installed:
