Probably no more so than any other firearm and manufacturer out there.....

Never dealt with Lantac other than buying small parts, but I would imagine it is down to individual scenarios.

If the stock or fore end fall apart, then that is a bit different to sticking a double charged or empty reload up the spout and blowing the gun apart!

I did originally research the s&w 15/22 but was put off buy the how light the rifle was and the polymer body and some of the internal parts ,but then found the cmmg range at lantac, so the deposits been paid the rest of the money is now burning a hole in my pocket.

One of the main reasons i opted for the cmmg was due to the possibility of swapping the upper for a .223 upper or just buy a complete rife, that choice will happen when i have joined a second full bore club and the money permits smile2
Thanks! I'm very happy with it, I'm getting impatient to use it! Sounds good, and the beauty as you say is that you already have 50% of the makings of a .223. I'm sure I read somewhere you can even up gun the platform to a 6.5 calibre (can't remember if is is the 6.5spc or 6.5 remington). I could be talking nonsense so if anyone knows that would be interesting to know?

Did you go for the standard trigger or an upgrade? As sad as it is, it is one of the aspects I am most excited about testing out the trigger!

Hi yes i did go for the trigger upgrade but just the basic upgrade, as you know its all down to cost, the best thing about the .22 is the possible upgrades, and except for the firing pin and barrel diameter its an ar15.. Ive chatted about the cost of a new upper and its reasonable, but as stated will have to wait to join a full bore club.. One of the major factors was the after care offered if any problems arise, which i doubt will :good:

Loving the sound of that .22 and have to agree with you about Paul. Depending on where you are in Worcestershire there's a great club in Worcester Norton that caters for almost everything; rimfire, centerfire, full bore, shotgun pit for PSG, etc... Link for their website is below:

Come along one Sunday morning and have a look around; they have great bacon and fried egg sandwiches as well :good:

I know of that club, the trouble was when seeking to join there was a massive waiting list and i believe it was around 9 months long, the club im actually in now, and now a full member i walked straight in.
As soon as the certificate lands on the door mat ill be driving there also, but round this neck of the woods things are going a little slow, as one member stated moneys gone out of the account but still no call ****

Yeah, unfortunately the waiting list is a bit of a nightmare, but it's worth the wait. The last Sunday of every other month they'll be open days at the club so anyone can come along and play with some big toys

Check out the below link for annual costs.

http://www.wnsc.co.uk/membership.html

Once you're a full member you have 7 day a week, 364 day a year access to the shooting ground (only closed Christmas day). So you can pop along whenever you want and blast away in the shotgun pit or throw some lead downrange :good:

Cheers reasonable costs around the same that im paying at the moment, when you said 7 days a week, is that when its open or does a range officer have to be present ? but thinking if its open there would always be one there ??? stourport can open but a member has to be a range officer..

Hopefully pop up on the last sunday in jan, and check it out sign92

A large part of the probation course is based on range safety during which time you are taught how to 'make safe' a whole variety of firearms; from Enfields to Rugers to AR15's. After approx 6 weeks into your probationary period you are then placed in charge of the range (under the supervision of the CRO) and are reponsible for a course of fire durng which time the senior members will test your understanding, safety and firearms knowledge. Effectively, after the 10 week probationary course (min period of 20 hours) you are able to act as an RO at the shooting club.

Sorry, didn't mean for it to go on so long. Basically, you are given codes to all of the locks and can visit and shoot whenever you want as long as one club member takes on the RO responsibilities. So, unlimited use of a shooting ground with 3 ranges (all of which are rated to just over 4000 ft per second) and a dedicated shotgun pit with a huge variety of steel targets!

Get yourself down and have a play tongueout
