It's as daft as calling a cast projectile a BOOLIT and the jacketed version a BULLET. Lol
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

alpha1... it's certainly a load of tosh if you call a bullet a "head"!

A full metal jacket head? Scenar match head or a Sierra MatchKing® head anyone?

I've never heard of Sierra... The Headsmiths or read that Mr Joyce Hornady's philosphy was "Ten Heads Through One Hole"!

Yep, the absurd term only elicits derision from me.

I always have to say I don't know what they're talking about and remind them the component is called a bullet.

Frankly, if you're going to be that stupid you shouldn't be shooting!
Frankly if you feel that strongly then perhaps it is you that should not be shooting? what a load of fuss about nothing, just as well its not the "good old days" back when it was OK to burn people at the stake because they had a different interpretation of a books meaning :55:

The only consolation I can offer you Lapau338 is the fact that we are not likely to ever shoot on the same range as each other.

"Head" is incorrect, no matter who uses it. It isn't being pedantic to point out the error either; it's educating the ignorant.
I've even heard people talking about "bullet heads" because they are ignorant as to the difference between a bullet & a cartridge or round (hello BBC writers).

Unfortunately your reading and interpretation skills appear to be as sloppy as your use of terminology.

I am not annoyed by it and never inferred as much, that is you putting your spin on my words. I am saddened and disappointed by it though and feel sorry for people with such attitudes but as they are of no importance to me then I am certainly not going to be able to work up sufficient emotion to be annoyed. Life is too short to waste it getting agitated about the ignorance of the masses.
