I bought two lots, the paper patched 577/450 for the Martini Henry and 303 flat based to try in my SMLE/No4.dromia wrote:Just a point of clarification, technically if your Martini is shooting .303 then it is either a Martini Metford or a Martini Enfield depending on the rifling. The Henry rifling was for the 577/450 BP cartridge.
If it is a 303 with Henry rifling then that would be quiet an unusual rifle.

Apparently it will do, although I've yet to test my sample bullets from BES!idge wrote:So does shooting flat based bullets in old smle's make a difference compared to the boatail type ??
