Get firefly mk1 or Mk2

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

I was under the impression that the mk2 was to try to improve the reliability.
However, a mate had one that was only a couple of months old, and yet still failed to feed and fire with some ammo (both mags affected) and with others it will feed but would fail to fire, a second strike usually fires. There was always at least one fail to fire for each 2 mags he would fire.
However he has now lost hope with all the different brands of ammo he has put through it and in the last week has returned it with the view of potentially picking up a PPQ.
Unfortunately I haven't experienced anyone else that has shot/got one, but I know that there's a lot of issues reported with them online.

There was a barrel recall on some early ones I believe?

Another GSG offering that doesn’t work well.... a shame.

But then it can be bought for under 200 dollars/euros in more free parts of the world...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
