New Purchases.

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

New Purchases.

Two new 7.3 pistols added to our collection. Both these come from a Norwegian collection. Bought through D&B Militaria who are a section 5 dealer and do have a large stock list.

Info about the above pistols,

John Inglis Hi Power 9mm serial number starts 2T**** which dates it to December 1944 came with JI stamped mags. It shoots really well. One of the first 30,000 to be issued to British troops during WW2.

Colt Police Positive Special .38spl dated 1921 and is a (John Wilks Gunmaker London) re work of cutting down the barrel to 2 &3/4" and re fitting a fore sight. He was known to have done this work for SOE operatives working in German Occupied Europe. The late father of this collector was known to have been a SOE operative in Norway during WW2. His name is scratched inside the frame. This is in fantastic condition and again shoots well and no play in the cylinder.

Very nice pair Comrade :good:

That little Colt has some interesting history, it's a shame old guns can't talk as they'd have some stories to tell......

Saw these in the flesh on the weekend, it's a brilliant collection, exactly what Sect7.3 is about, preserving rare heritage firearms.
