He goes , next purchase you have to get 1911 in .45 and I said I'd also like the .40 cal as they have a few police trade ins....

Seriously next on list is a job to pay for such goodies...

I have made good experience with the Springfield XDM pistols. Well engineered and solid handguns made in Croatia by "HS" for Springfield USA. In my opinion better than Glock but unfortunately for them not that famous...

1911... an age defying legend & it may be debatable, but IMO, by far the most desirable US gun of all time :good:

I thought the association of HS with Springfield, was just a marketing licence for HS to penetrate the US market & very successfully now sale its product there . I am not qualified to say if they are better than Glock but for sure I agree 100% that HS are awesome pistols . As a side note, in the sub compact, I still prefer shooting the Glock26 over the XDS.
